Statement of the Matter
On July 5, 1977 City Council approved an agreement with Lawrence Black and Associates
to prepare a Ekster Plan for the development of Magee Park.
has completed the Master Plan, and it has been reviewed and approved by City staff
and the Parks and Recreation Commission.

The Planning Commission has found this project to be in conformity with the City's
General Plan and has issued a Conditional Use Permit for the improvement of the Park.
The environmental review process has been complied with in accordance with Municipal
Ordinance. 19.
The Master Plan contains three elements: (1) building restoration; (2) grounds and
landscaping; and (3) public improvements.
Phase I1 and Phase 111 of the project (Phase I being the initial restoration of the
main house which has been completed at a cost of approximately $75,000 using HCD
funds, park-in-lieu funds and insurance adjustments ).
