PARK DRIVE WIDENING - CONTRACT NO. 1046
Statement of the Matter '.$ --
Plans and specifications for the subject project have been completed by
the Engineering Department. The construction is estimated to cost $48,900.
Funds in the amount of $50,000 are available in Account No. 02-200-3926.
Permits have been obtained from the Coastal Commission and the Corps of
Engi neers approving the work.
The necessary right-of-way has been acqui red from the abutting. property
owner, AI Ian Kelly.
A Declaration of Negative Environmental Effect was declared by the City
on January 18, 1977.

RESOLUTION NO. 5311
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY CLERK TO INVITE BIDS OF THE WIDENING OF PARK DRIVE
BETWEEN KELLY DRIVE AND VALENCIA AVENUE - CONTRACT NO. 1046
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has determined It is
necessary and in the public interest to widen Park Drive between Kelly Drive
and Valencia Avenue; and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the furnishing of all labor, ma-
terial, tools, equipment, transportation and other expense necessary or inci-
dental for said project, Contract No. 1046, have been prepared and filed in
the Public Works Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated by
reference herein; .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carls-
., .- bad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct;

That the plans and specifications as presented are hereby approved;
That the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and
directed to proceed to publish, in accordance with law, notice to contractors
inviting bids for the widening of Park Drive between Kelly Drive and Valencia
Avenue, in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinabove referred tc
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, at a regular meeting held the 21St day of February 8
1978, by the following vote, to wit:
