Additionally, over- time hours were necessary €or Public Works and Parks 6 Recreation crews to conduct emergency operations such as debris clearance and disposal, barracading and storm drain clearance. . City crews have removed, or taken temporary measures regarding, immediate public dangers, but the permanent restorative work needs to be accomplished. The City has applied for Federal and State assistance which will help cover some of the expenses, but since the need for the work exists and is not contingent upon re- ceiving these funds it is necessary to provide funds now so that necessary work may begin. Most of this work is beyond the scope of what can be accomplished by City forces in terms of labor ad equipment. monies are received, the street, road and dam related repairs shouldrrbe contracted as soon as possible.
