Statement of the Matter

Due to the balance of entering traffic volumes (see Exhibit 1) and the antici-
pated increase in pedestrian activity (Chase Field now has lights for nighttime 'baseball), the Traffic Safety Commission, at its May 1, 1978 meeting, recommended that "FOUR-WAY STOP'' control be implemented at the intersections of Chestnut Avenue
and

Recommendation
If City Council concurs, adopt Resolution No establishing "FOUR-WAY STOP" control at the intersection of Chestnut Harding Street.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
INTERSECTION OF CHESTNUT AVENUE AND HARDING STREET
CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING "FOUR-WAY STOP" CONTROL AT THE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows:
That "FOUR-WAY STOP'' control be established at the intersection of
Chestnut Avenue and Harding Street, thereby requiring all vehicles entering
the intersection to stop.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad, California, held the 16t h day of May , 1978,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Packard, Skotnicki, Anear and
Councilwoman Cas1 er NOES: None
