Downpayment for System
Statement of the Matter
On May 16, 1978, City Council adopted Resolution 5427, authorizing
the cooperative purchase of a Library Circulation Control System with -
the City of Oceanside. At the same time, Council adopted Resolution
5426, approving an agreement with the City of Oceanside for the joint
operation and use of the system. As a part of this agreement, the
City of Carlsbad was to pay $22,800 to the City of Oceanside, as a
downpayment to the vendor for the system. The funds are available
as a continuing appropriation, and approval for payment is requested.

Recommendation
It is recommended the Council authorize the payment of $22,800 to
the City of Oceanside as a downpayment for the Library Automated
Circulation Control System. If Council concurs, they should adopt
Resolution No.
Council action
8-15-78 Resolution #5505 was adopted, authorizing the payment of
$22,800 to the City of Oceanside as a downpayment for the
Library Automated Circulation Control System.

RESOLUTION NO, 550_5
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLS-BAD, AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT FOR THE DOWN -
PAYMENT OF A LIBRARY CIRCULATION CONTROL SYSTEM.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as
follows:
1. That the payment of twenty-two thousand eight hundred
dollars ($22,800) for the downpayment of the Library Circulation
Control System from the continuing appropriations is hereby auth-
orized and approved.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council at a
regular meeting held on the 1st day of AMUU5_ , 1978, by the
following vote, to wit:
