Exhibits Memo from Public Works Administrator dated 12/21/78 N0t.i ce of Comp 1 et i on Recommendation If Council concurs, accept the work and direct the City Clerk to record the Notice of Completion and release the bonds 35 days after recordation. I Council action: 1-2-79 Council accepted the work and directed the City Clerk to record the Notice of Completion 1 and to release the bonds 35 days after recorda ti on. . D MEMORANDUM TO: City Manager FROM: Pub1 ic Works Administrator DATE: December 21, 1978 SUBJECT: MAGEE HOUSE I have been informed by the Parks & Recreation Coordinator and by a Public Works Inspector that the items on the Magee House punch list (as prepared by the Parks & Recreation Coordinator on December 4, 1978) have been completed. The Parks & Recrea- tion Coordinator requests use of the facility. This appears reasonable, and I recommend that you authorize use of the fa- cility by the Historical Society pending Council action. There has been some discussion concerning peeling paint. This condition is limited to the porch rails, particularly the di- agonal dowels. The railing was repainted just a few months ago, was inspected by Parks & Recreation personnel and accepted. I have personally looked at the paint job and think that the problem may relate to moisture accumulation on the dowels. The paint on the rest of the house is in excellent condition. I will get in touch with the paint contractor and review the rail- ing to see if special treatment is required. It appears to be something beyond the scope of the contract specifications. I recommend that City Council accept the work and direct the City Clerk to record the Notice of Completion and release the bonds 35 days after recordation. c\d-& A% Ronald A. Beckman, P.E.
