Subject : Quitclaim of all Public Utility Easements dedicated on final
maps for Seacrest Estates, Units No. 1 and No. 2.
Statement of the Matter
Dr. and Mrs. Lucas J. Bonagura, owners of lot 72 of Seacrest Estates Unit No
have requested the City quitclaim a public utilities easement over a portion
their property. The easement was originally granted to the City in 1959 on
It was intended to be part of a cha
of easements along the rear lot line's of the subdivision for future power anc
telephone lines. However, the utility lines were subsequently placed underg
in the street right-of-way and the easements never utilized for that or any I
purpose by the City or any public utility.

The City Council has previously quitclaimed the public utility easement over 28 of Seacrest Estates Unit No. 1.
In order to save the staff time required to process future quitclaims of the
easements, and because neither the City nor any public utility has need of t
easements, staff recommends the City Council authorize the Mayor to sign a q
claim deed for all the 8 foot and 12 foot public utility easements shown on
maps for Seacrest Estates Unit No. 1 and Unit No. 2, excepting therefrom the
easement preyiously quitclaimed over lot 28 of Unit No. 1.

Recommendation
If Council corwurs, authorize the Mayor to sign a quitclaim deed for all thf
