Proposed modification to Executive Compensation Plan
Statement of the Matter
Attached hereto are recommended modifications to the Executive
Compensation Plan for Fiscal Year 1978-79 as adopted by
Resolution No. 5553, October 3, 1978. Increases shown are for the
unclassified positions of PUBLIC WORKS ADMINISTRATOR and
CITY ENGINEERING DIREC:'OR.

Council Action:
2-20-79 Council adopted Resolution 5682, adopting changes to the
Executive Compensation Pl..i for certain management personnel
for the 1978-79 fiscal year with the understanding that
adjustments in the City Engineer and Public Works Administrator's
salaries would be reviewed in -July 1, 1979:

RESOLUTION NO. 5682
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA ADOPTING
CHANGES TO THE EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION
PLAN FOR CERTAIN MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL FOR
THE 1978-79 FISCAL YEAR.
WHEREAS, the City Council, upon recommendation of the City
Manager, has determined to make adjustments in compensation
for certain Management personnel;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That Exhibit A, attached hereto and dated February 20,
1979, supercede and replace Appendix B to Resolution No. 5553,
adopted October 3, 1978.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council held on the 20th day of February , 1979, ,

by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Packard, Skotnicki, Anear, Lewis and
Councilwoman Casler
NOES: None
