Statement of the Matter
The City has received a letter from Woolley & Mullin, Attorneys
At Law, representating Rancho Santa Fe Savings and Loan Associati indicating interest in the possible purchase of the property
presently occupied by the Parks and Recreation Department, commor referred to as the Greenwood Property. and Loan Association would like to build a peymanent office on the site. Their letter is being forwarded for Council direction
in the matter. If Council is interested in a possible sale of
the property, it would'be necessary to go to public bid after
all preliminary steps were taken.

Recommendation
If the City Council is interested in a possible sale of the
Greenwood property, staff should be instructed to obtain proposal bids for an appraisal of the property.

Dear Mayor Packard and Members of the Council:
This office represents Rancho Santa Fe Savings and Loan Association. That institution is interested in the possibility of purchasing the approximate 1.2 acre parcel known as the Greenwood Property at the northwest corner of Elm and Pi0 Pic0 in the City of Carlsbad.
The intended use by Rancho Santa Fe Savings would be to build a permanent Carl s bad off i ce .
If there is any interest on the part of the City in such a proposal, please so advise.
