'I Statement of the Matter -4
The City'of Carlsbad plans to make a Local Transportation Funds (L.T.F.) Bikeways
claim for f scal year 1979-80 for painted bicycle lanes and signing on 2.2 miles
of La Costa Avenue from El Camino Real to Rancho Santa Fe Road. This claim had
to be submi -ked to the Comprehensive Planning Organization (CPO) by March I, 1979,
wh'ich staff has done. However, a resolution passed by the governing agency is
required be ore any L.T.F. funds can be distributed to that agency. The signing
and striping is estimated to cost $5,000, and the bicycle route is depicted in
the City's General Plan.
