Mgr.~ At che February 6, 1979 meeti'.lg the City Council.directed staff to prepare a resolution suppvrting passage of SCA-2 which, if adopted by the people, would prevent the inter-district bussing of school children. SCA-2 has passed the State Senate and has been assigned to the Asserobly Judiciary Committee for hearing. Council Action: 3-6-79 Council adopted Resolution 5694, supporting passdge of SCA-2 by the California legislature, I } I l 2 ;; 4 II RESOLUTION NO. 5694 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, SUPPORTING PASSAGE OF SCA-2 BY THE CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE. 5 WHEREAS, Senate Constitutional Amendment-2 has been intro- 6 duced into the California Legislature; and 7 WHEREAS, if approved by the legislature and adopted by 8 the people, SCA-2 would prevent the inter-district bussing of 9 school children. 10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the 11 City of Carlsbad, Califor~lia, as follows: 12 l. That the Carlsbad City Council supports SCA-2 and 13 urges its passage by the legislature. 14 2.
