TIME OF CITY COUNCIL SB;ETINGS AND PUBLIC HEARINGS
Statement of the Matter
On February 20, 1979, Council adopted Ordinance 1213 relating to City
Council procedures which became effective March 22, 1979. The addition
of Sections 1.20.010 and 1.20.420 to the Carlsbad Municipal Code now
provide for the time of City Council Meetings and Public' Hearings,
respectively.
To insure clarity and uniformity, Resolution No. 5447, adopted July
18, 1978, relating to time of City Council Meetings and Public Hearings,
should be rescinded.

Recommendation
If Council concurs that Resolution No. 5447 should be rescinded,
they should so do by Minute Motion.
Council Action:
4-3-79 By minute motion, Council rescinded Resolution 5447.
I RESOLUTION NO. 5447
.2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING
3 THE TIME FOR REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE CITY
COUNCIL PURSUANT TO SECTION 2.04.010 OF
4 THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE.
5 WHEREAS, Section 2.04.010 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code
g provides that the City Council shall hold their regular meetings
7 at such time as they may specify by resolution; and
g WHEREAS, the City Council now wishes to change the meeting
9 times set forth in Resolution No. 5407;
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City' Council of the
11 city of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
12 1. That the above,recitations are true and correct.
13 2. Resolution No. 5407 is hereby rescinded.
14 3. Regular meetings of the Carlsbad City Council shall
1.5 commence at 6:00 P.M. on the day and place specified in
16 Section 2.04.010 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code. Matters requiring
17 a public hearing will be heard commencing at 7:30 P.M.
18he City Council may adjourn the meeting to another time or to
19 another day and time as they determine necessary to complete
20 City business scheduled for that meeting.
21 4. The times established for Council meetings by this
22 resolution shall be effective commencing with the regular Council
23 meeting'of July 18, 1978
