Subject:
CITATIONS FOR PARKING IN FIRE LANES
Statement of the Matter
Shopping center parking areas generally have a 20! to 30!
fire lanes for use by the fire department in case of eme
access roadway in front and rear of building and are deemed
encies. rg-
We have a continuing problem of people parking their vehicles
in front of the store, blocking not only access to the stores
but in many cases blocking the access road itself.
The fire department has prepared an amendment to the City Code
which would allow either the fire or police department to have
the vehicle removed or to cite for violation.
