DEPARTMENT: Pub1 ic Works SUBJECT: INTRUSION AND FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS - HARDING STREET COMMUNITY CENTER CONTRACT NO. 1064 STATEMENT OF THE MATTER i On April 3, 1979 the City Council approved plans and specifications and authorized the City Clerk to invite bids for the installation of the intrusion and fire alarp systems in the Harding Street Community Center. City Clerk at 4:OO p.m. on May 10, 1979. Four bids were received and are shown on the attached "Bid Summary." Internal Security Systems of Santa Monica, California was the low bidder at $8,750. This bid is over the engineer's estimate of $7,392. The City Council, on February 20,.1979, awarded the contract and approved funding for the renovation of the Harding Street Community Center, excluding the security system. The funds for this project could be transferred from the General Fund Balance to the Harding Street Community Center Project Account. Sealed bids were opened by the - .< EXHI BITS 1.
