SUBJECT: Purchase of Modular Office Complex
Statement of the Matter
At its May 1, 1979 meeting, the City Council approved specifications and author- the Purchasing Agent to invite bids for a Modular Office Complex to house the Bt ing and Personnel Departments. \
In accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal Code, Notice to Bidders wa: published and Request for Bids was made. Four responses were received, opened, witnessed and recorded on May 21, 1979.
The lowest bid for the Modular Office Complex was from Caleasco, Inc.; 121 N. Hi Boulevard; Santa Ana, CA 92703, in the amount of $37,641.00 plus tax, transpori and set-up charges for a total of $41,699,46,
The cost to purchase and install the Modular Office Complex was estimated to be per sq. ft. or $45,000 for a 36' x 50' unit. This amount includes the purchase the unit and the cost for installation, including utilities hookups, ramp and s' and the landscaping and irrigation. The $45,000 necessary for the purchase and stallation is available from the unappropriated fund balance.

Recommendation
It is recommended the City purchase the Modular Office Complex from Caleasco, 11 If Council concurs, they should adopt Resolution No. 5790 .

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A BID, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT AND
LATION OF A MODULAR OFFICE COMPLEX AUTHORIZING FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTAL-
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California
follows:
1. That the bid of Caleasco, Inc; 121 N. Harbar Blvd; Santa Ana, CA
is hereby accepted and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a C
for the purchase of a Modular Office Complex at a cost of $41,699.46.
2. That Department of Finance Fund Transfer No- 37 on file in said de
ment and incorporated by reference herein is approved.
