Mgr. ,j SUBJECT: QUITCLAIM OF ALL PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS DEDICATED ON TH FINAL MAP OF LAS FLORES PLACE STATEMENT OF THE MATTER Richard F. Martin, owner of Lot 7 of Las Flores Place, has requested City to quitclaim a public utility easement over a portion of his pro The easement was originally granted to the City in 1960 on the Las F1 Place subdivision map. It was intended to be part of a chain of ease along the rear lot lines of the subdivision for future power and tele lines. However, the utility lines were subsequently placed in the st right-of-way and the easements never utilized for that or any other p pose by the City or any public utility. n order to save staff time required to process future quitclaims of easements, and because neither the City nor any public utility has ne these easements, staff recommends the City Council authorize the Mayo i sign a quitclaim deed for all 8-foot and 12-foot public utility easem shown on the map for Las Flores Place. --- EXHIBITS 1.
