ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
"STATEMENT OF MATTER
The developer has requested acceptance of the secured public improvements
included with the Rancho La Costa Sewer Line. City staff has determined
that public improvements are acceptable; as-built drawings are on file in
the Engineering Department and final accounting is complete.

RECOMMENDATION •
If City Council concurs, accept the improvements as completed and direct
the Utilities/Maintenance Director to commence their maintenance, the
City Clerk to release the bonds for public improvements, and the Finance
Director to close out the Trust Account.
Council Action:
7-17-79 Council accepted the improvements as completed, directed the

the Engineering project consisting of The Offsite Sewer Line for
Carlsbad Tract 72-34 KNOWN AS RANCHO LA COSTA SEWER __
on which Frank H. Ayres & Son
was the contractor, and Safeco Insurance Company of America
was the surety, was completed.

I, the undersigned, say:
I am the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad; the City Council of
said City on July 17, 1979 accepted the above described work as
completed and ordered that a Notice of Completion be filed.

Dear Sir:
We hereby request release of the bonds for this Project
as soon as possible.
The landscaping is to be done by the City Parks and Rec-
reation Department and paid by Rancho La Costa, represented
by Don Ayres Sr. I talked to Doug Duncanson today and he
thought that the cost would be around $200.00 and he indicated
he would get right with it.
While it is my opinion that while the landscaping is not
part of the bonded improvement it is not a matter of any dis-
agreement, and you have my personal assurance that the landscape
cost will be paid as soon as it is known.
I will appreciate it if you would consider the landscaping
as a separate matter and proceed with release of bond.
