J -- SUB JSCT: HARDING STREET COMMUNITY CENTER - ADDITIONAL WORK STATEMENT OF THE MATTER In the design of the Harding Street Community Center, the architect s spot removal and replacement of floor tile in the auditorium. The or type of material is no longer available. The contractor submitted a estimate of $3,282.29 to remove and replace the tile flooring. On June 25, 1979, the City Council deferred making a decision for rep the tile until other cost estimates were received. Two other estimat been received for $2,320 and $2,198. If one of the lower estimates i proved, the work will not interfere with work on the present contract cannot commence until completion and acceptance of work on the renova of the Harding Street Community Center, Contract No. 1049. Eliminati the spot removal and replacement of the floor tile will be accomplish a change order to Contract No. 1049. Funds for the additional work at the lowest cost estimate of $2,198 c be transferred from the General Fund Unappropriated Reserves, Account 01-000-0900.
