Mgr. �. 5us3ec i__..._�._._ ADOPTION OP' SALARY PLAN FOR COUNCIL APPOINTED OFFICIALS Statement of the Matter The City Council, at your adjourned meeting of August 29, 1979 approved salary increases and benefits paralleling those granted to Department Heads for Council appointed officials. It is appropriate that such action be taken by resolution. A resolution adopting a salary plan for Council appointed officials is attached. Exhibit Resolution No.6,1:2.2 adopting a Salary Plan for Council appointed Officials. Recommendation If the City Council concurs, your action is to adopt P,esolution No.Q.S"'• Council Action: 9-4-79 Council adopted Resolution 5925, adopting a compensation plan for Council appointed officials for the 1979-80 fiscal year, with the insertion of "40'.' on line 23. RESOLUTION NO. 5925 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING 3 A COMPENSATION PLAN FOR COUNCIL APPOINTED 4OPFIC17ILS FOR THE 1979-80 FISCAL YEAR. 5WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to make adjustments I6 in compensation for Council appointed officials; 7 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows: 8 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. g 2. That the Salary Schedule for City Council appointed 7.0 officials for the 1979-80 Fiscal Yea= shall be as follows: x1. 12 Effective July 1, 1979 o City Attorney $1605 Bi-weekly 3.3 I ry W Q City Manager $1666 Bi-weekly a02) 0 UQo xS 3. Section 7 shall not apply. Removal of the City Manager 19 20 and City Attorney is controlled by Municipal Code Chapter 2.12 zx and 2.14 respectively. 5. The City Manager and the City Attorney shall earn 22 23 fifteen working days of vacation and may accumulate up to and including __4Q____days of vacation. • 24 G.
