SUBJECT: CRKPET FOR CITY HALL - CONTRACT NO. 1074
STATEYENT OF THE MATTER
The City Council approved $14,400 in the 1979-80 budget for carpet for City Hall. the plans and specifications are approved and the City Clerk is authorized to adver- tise for bids, work could commence approximately December 10, 1979 and be complete within 45 consecutive calendar days (January 24, 1980). Staff feels that their work can be accomplished with a minimum amount of disruption. Contractor will be permitted
to work after normal City Hall working hours, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays to expe- dite completion of project and to reduce disruptions.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
IZING THE CITY CLERK TO INVITE BIDS FOR THE CARPET FOR CITY HALL
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHOR-
GJHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has determined it is
necessary and in the public interest to accomplish the carpeting of City Hal
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the furnishing of all labor, ma-
terial , tools, equipment, transportation and other expenses necessary or inc
dental for said project, Contract No. 1074, have been prepared and are on fi
in the Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated b
reference herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carl

The above recitations are true and correct.
The-plans and specifications as presented are hereby approved.
3, The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and di
rectcd to proceed to publish, in accordance with law, notice to contractors
inviting bids for the carpet for City Hall in accordance with the plans and
specifications hereinabove referred to.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsb
California, at a regular meeting held the 2nd day of October , 1979,
the following vote, to wit:
