At C, Mg I Subject: AMENDMENT OF TITLE 2 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE TO DELETE ~HAPTER 2.02 TO REMOVE OBSOLETE PROVISIONS WHICH IMPLEmNTED THE NOW SUPERSEDED MOSCONE ACT. Statement of the Matter The adoption of our Local Conflict of Interest Code makes Chapter 2.02 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code obsolete. An ordinance, removing that chapter from the Code, has been prepared by this office and is attached. Exhibits Ordinance NO.& 3 6 .. -.. Recommendation The City Council’s action is to introduce Ordinance No../Zd&. Council Action: 11-6-79 Council introduced Ordinance No. 1226, amending the Municipal Code to remove obsolete provisions which implemented the now superseded Moscone Act. 11-20-79 Council adopted Ordinance 1226. 5 6 7 e 9 10 11 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 ORDINANCE NO. 1226 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 2, OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE DELETION OF CHAPTER 2.02 TO REMOVE OBSOLETE PROVISIONS WHICH IMPLEMENTED THE NOW SUPERSEDED MOSCONE ACT. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: That Title 2 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by the deletion of Chapter 2.02. EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall zertify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days after its adoption. INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the Jarlsbad City Council held on the 6th day of November I L979 and thereafter PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of said City :ouncil held on the 20thday of November , 1979 by the Eollowing vote, to wit: AYES : Councilmen Packard, Skotnicki, Anear, Lewis and NOES : None Councilwoman Casler RONALD C.
