Subject: ESTABLISHING THE PROJECT AREA ADVISORY COMMITTEE (Previously
established and known as the Project Area Committee - PAC - )
Statement of the Matter
At its meeting of October 16, 1979, Council expressed their intent to
retain the members of the Project Area Committee in an advisory capacity
to the newly -created Housing and Redevelopment Advisory Committee until
such time as the Redevelopment Plan is completed. This resulted from
the discussion of the reorganization of the Housing Authority and
Redevelopment Agency. '
A Resolution has been prepared creating the Project Area Advisory
Committee which will consist of the members who were serving on the
Project Area Committee. As proposed, the members will serve until
termination of the Committee.

2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, CREATING AND E:.TABLISHING
3 THE PROJECT AREA ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND APPOINT-
ING MEMBERS THERETO.

5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
6 California, by adoption of Ordinance No. 1224, has assigned the
7 duties of the Project Area Committee to the Community Development
.8 Committee; and
9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
10 California, desires that the previously appointed members of the
11 Project Area Committee continue to serve in an advisory
12 capacity until such time as the Redevelopment Plan is completed.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED -by the City Council of the
14 City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
15 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
16 2. That the following citizens are appointed as members
17 of the Project Area Advisory Committee:
18 Jeffrey Chandler Robert Nielsen
Norris Cochran David Ruhnau
19 Kennith Criss Frankie Gene Runzo
Thelma Hayes

21 3. That the appointments are to be for a term concurrent
22 with the existence of the committee.
23 4. That the committee shall serve in an advisory
24 capacity to the Carlsbad Housing and Redevelopment Advisory
25 Committee on matters relating to the Redevelopment Plan.
26 5. That the Project Area Advisory Committee shall
27 terminate upon Council adoption of the Redevelopment Plan.
