(g) fJL< DATE : December 18, 1979 DEPARTMENT: Engineering SUBJECT: PARKING RESTRICTIONS - CARLSBAD BOULEVARD STATEMENT OF THE MATTER The Coastal Bike Route will require different parking restrictions than those presently * in force. bad Boulevard listed in the City Code'to reflect the revised condition of Carlsbad Boule- vard. 1. That "NO.PARKING ANYTIhE" zones be established on the west side of Carlsbad Boulevard: The ordinance attached revises parking zones and "no parking" areas on Carls- The proposed ordinance reflects the following changes:' a. between Elm Avenue and Pine Avenue b. between Maple Avenue and Cherry Avenue e. d. from 160 feet north of Redwood Avenue to 2,180 feet south of Agua Hedionda Bridge (at exit of third parking lot) from 600 feet north of south City limits to south City limits. 1 2. That "NO PARKING ANYTINE" zones be established on the east side of Carlsbad Boulevard: a. b. from 100 feet north of Pine Avenue to 2,600 feet north of Cannon Road from Cannon Road northerly for a distance of 2,300 feet. 3. That "PARK OFF PAVEMENT" zones be established on both sides of Carlsbad Boulevard from 2,600 feet north of Cannon Road to Manzano Drive, except, of course, at those locations whepe there are existing or proposed "no parking" restrietions. The significant changes in parking restrictions will occur between Yaple and Cherry on the west side of Carlsbad Boulevard where existing on-street parking will be removed. east side of Carlsbad Boulevard the existing on-street parking between Pine and Walnut will be removed.
