SUBJECT: CONSTRUCTtON OF STREET IMPROVEMENTS IN BEECH AVENUE,
GARFIELD STREET AND CARLSBAD BOULEVARD - CONTRACT 1059 -
STATEMENT OF THE MATTER
Work under the above project has been satisfactorily completed. The final contract
amount of $55,861.85 exceeds the bid prike by $2,384.70 due to an underestimate of
quantities of aggregate base and asphaltic concrete needed to complete the work.
Ten percent of the final contract amount ($5,586.19) will be withheld until 35 days
after the Notice of Completion records.. Funds are available for transfer within
the Gas Tax Account.
