Subject: APPROPRIATION FOR POLICE VEHICLES
Statement of the Matter
It is nec.:essary to replace twelve polica units during 1980-81
Fiscal Year. However, since ,t;:hese cars will be ordered through
the State of California Purchasing Department, orders must be
placed by April 15, 1980 and funds encumbered to comply with
state requirements. Since no money was budgeted in 1979-80
Fiscal Year, it will be necessary to effect a transfer of funds
from the Contingency Fund ($42,000) and the General Fund ($30,000).
The cost of the vehicles is ~pproximately $72,000.

the tr.ansfer of funds.
Council Action:
2-19-80 Council continued the matter to the next regula~ meeting for
additional report.
