Subject: MODIFICATION OF RESOLUTION NUMBER 5925 Statement of the Matter - At the time the City Council appointed the City Manager the appointing resolution contained the salary approved for the City Manager.. This resolution changed the previous salary resolution and did not contain vacation provisions for the new manager. To correct the previous resolution and provide vaca- tion for the City Manager the attached resolution modifying Resolution No. Exhibit Resolution No. 5925 is forwarded m* for council .. consideration. Recommendation Recommend City Council adopt modification of Resolution No. 5925. Council. WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 5925 on September 4, 1979, which set compensation and vacation benefits for the City Manager and City Attorney; and WHEREAS, the City Council subsequently changed the City Manager salary by adopting Resolution No. 6066 on January 15, 1980; and WHEREAS, the provisions of these resolutions should be coordinated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the salary Schedule for City Council appointed officials for the 1979-80 Fiscal Year shall be as follows: Effective February 5, 1980 City Attorney $1605 Biweekly City Manacjer $1692 Biweekly 3. That except as provided in this resolution, City Council appointed officials shall receive the benefits of the Executive Compensation Plan for Management Level I employees as adopted by Resolution No. 5885. 4. Section 7 shall not apply. Effective February 5, 1980, the City Attorney shall be authorized to receive the amount of sixty-five dollars ($65) per month in lieu of coverage under the City's health and medical insurance plan.
