Statement of the Matter
At the time Council adopted Resolution No. 6043, calling and
giving notice of the election, the polling places and precinct
workers were not designated x in said Resolution.
A Resolution has been prepared for Council's consideration to
provide for the polling places and election officers, as well
as fixing the amount of compensation to be paid.

RESOLUTION NO. 6098
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING VOTING
PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES, APPOINTING
PRECINCT BOARD MEMBERS AND FIXING COMPENSATION
FOR THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF SAID CITY
ON TUESDAY, APRIL 8, 1980, HERETOFORE CALLED
BY RESOLUTION NO. 6043 OF THE CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, a general municipal election to be held on Tuesday,
April 8, 1980, has been heretofore called by Resolution No. 6043,
adopted on January 2, 1980;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE , DETERMINE AND ORDER
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That for the purpose of holding said regular
general municipal election, there shall be and are hereby
established twenty- six (26) voting precincts consisting of
'
consolidations of the regular election precincts in the City
of Carlsbad established for the holding of the state and county
elections, as said regular election precincts exist on the date
of adoption of this resolution. That the polling places for the
respective precincts shall be the places hereinafter designated;
and that the persons hereinafter named, being competent and
qualified are hereby appointed precinct board members for the
respective voting precincts and they shall hold said election and
make return thereof in the manner provided by law. The polling
places and precinct board members are shown on Exhibit "A",
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. That the compensation of the persons named as
precinct board members is hereby fixed at the sum of thirty- five
($35.00) dollars for each Inspector, and thirty ($30.00) dollars

each Judge and Clerk for said election. The rental for each of
such polling places, where a charge is made, shall be the sura
of twenty five ($25.00) dollars for said election. When
required, the compensation of the Custodian of a building shall
be fifteen ($15.00) dollars for said election.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this Resolution; shall enter the same in the
book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute
of passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings
of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting
at which the same is passed and adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council, held on the 4th day of March, 1980, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Packard, Skotnicki, Anear, Lewis and
Councilwoman Casler
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
