SUBJECT: MARRON ROAD IMPROVEMENTS - CONTRACT NO. 1073
STATEMENT OF THE MATTER
Construction under the above contract has been satisfactorily completed. The final contract
amount of $50,679.25 is $1,874 less than the original bid on the project.
the final contract amount ($5,067.92) will be withheld until 35 days after the Notice of
Completion is recorded.
Ten percent of
An agreement between the City, the Parking Authority and Plaza Camino Real stated, among
other items, that the City and Plaza Camino Real would each contribute one-half of the
cost of the road improvements. May Stores deposited $29,300 on October 5, 1979 for its
share in the project.
thus, May Stores is due a refund.of $3,960.37.
One-half of the final contract amount of $50,679.25 is $25,339.63;

RECOMMENDAT I ON
Accept the work and direct the City Clerk to record the Notice of Completion and release
the bonds 35 days after recordation; and authorize a refund to May Stores of $3,960.37.
