CASE NO.: CT 75-9(B) APPLICANT: LA COSTA LAND COMPAN' -- Statement of the Matter The City Council, at your meeting of May 6, 1980, directed the City Attorney to prepare the necessary documents approving Tentative Subdivision Kap (CT 75-9(B)). As directed by Council, the traffic signal question was referred to Public Works. we have included Condition No, 14 dealing tJith traffic siynais. APPLICATION: SANTA FE KNOLLS LOCATED SOUTH OF LA COSTA AVENUE, EAST OF RANCHO WHEWAS, On March 26, 1980, the Carlsbad Planning Corrmisr adopted Resolution No. 1615, recommending to the City Council that Tentative Map (CT 79-9(B)) be conditionally approved; an WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, on 101 91 12 Y g 13 0 2 ci% 6 May 6, 1980, held a public hearing to consider the recommenda of the 2lanning Commission and to receive all recommendations and hear all persons interested in or opposed to Tentative Subdivision Map (CT 79-9(B); and I 3.6 50 VI >: 2 17 6a 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 $&go "Oq c V 0 I and the Planning Director has found the Tentative Map (CT 75- to be in prior compliance with the City of Carlsbad Environmc Protection Ordinance of 1972; 'I I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of t' ! City of Carlsbad, California as follows: A. That the above recitations are true and correct. B. That the findings of the Planning Commission in Resolution No. 1615 constitute the findings of the City Coun except for Finding 4(b) which is replaced by the following: "4 (b) Agreements have been or will be made wit both Encinitas and San Diequito Unified School Dis to satisfy the school requirement." All conditions of CT 75-9 (City Council Resolution Nc 4072) shall remain in effect, except as otherwise noted hereii 3. Condition 11 of City Council Resolution No. 4072 is amended as follows: "11. Concurrent with final map recordation for Unit the applicant shall dedicate the area designated as "Proposed Park Site" on Exhibit "X" , March 11, 1980. The park site so dedicated shall be 12.5 acres in si and its precise boundaries shall be approved by the City Cou.nci1 prior to approval of the final map for Unit 1. La Costa Avenue shall be constructed concurrent wit1 Unit No. 2, of the subdivision. The applicant shall enter into a secured agreement j improveinent of the northerly half of Mission Estanci along the proposed park site frontage to City of Carlsbad standards. 8. Rancho Santa Fe Road shall be widened and/or striped provide a separate southbound left turn lane into Mission Est land a separate northbound right turn lane into the street. Condition 17 of City Council Resolution No. 4072 is amended as follows: "17. That portion of Exhibit "X", dated March 11, 19C labeled future High School Site, shall be included wil the boundaries of the final subdivision map for Unit 1 The applicant shall reach an agreement with the San Dieguito Union High School District to ensure that necessary school site will be provided and resolve tht status of the reserved site. Said agreement shall be subject to the approval of the City Council prior to final map approval for Unit 1." 13. "D" Street and "G" Street shall be extended offsite to intersect as part of Unit No. 2 construction in order to pravide access to lots on "G" Street. 14. A fully actuated traffic signal shall be installed at intersection Of La Costa Avenue and Rancho Santa Fe Road in conjunction with the construction of La Costa Avenue. Complet of this signal will satisfy the developer's obligation under t Secured Acjreemen'c for Completion of Traffic Signals, dated Noverrher 6, 1979. The intersection shall be constructed in fi sufficiently to accommodate the traffic signal system in its permanent location.
