HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-06-03; City Council; 5071-5; Street Lighting District No. 1CITY OF CARLSBAD AGENDA BILL NO. 5071 - Supplement No. 5 DATE: June 3-,. 1980 DEPARTMENT:Utilities & Maintenance Subject: STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. 1 Statement of the Matter The City of Carlsbad has executed agreements previously for the provision of electrical energy for mercury vapor street lights. High pressure sodium vapor lights were installed in November 1978 at Hosp Way and El Camino Real (intersection lights), however they were never formally included in our contractual agreement with SDG&E. The attached agreement will formalize this proceeding and will cover future additions of high pressure sodium vapor lights. Fiscal Impact Rates for street light energy are set by the PUC. Presently these rates, for 250 watt hig-h pressure sodium vapor lights, are $14.85 per month per light. These charges are spread'back to the residents on the basis of benefit, in accordance with our Street Light District proceedings. This action has no direct fiscal -impact. •EXHIBITS- • ' A.
