Mgr. -+ SUBJECT : UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 7 CARLSBAD BOULEVARD * STATEMENT OF THE MATTER San Diego Gas Ct Electric Company is scheduled to begin work on the under- ground electric system in Carlsbad Boulevard on July 21, 1980. Municipal Code (Chapter 11.08) provides that affected property owners within the district be notified of the date they must be ready to receive underground service from-the new system. The removal of the overhead electrical system is scheduled for September 23, 1980. FISCAL IMPACT No significant impact. EXHIBITS 1. Letter from San Diego Gas 6 Electric dated July 11, 1980. 2.. Evans: Convert Overhead to Underground Carlsbad Boulevard, Tamarack to Rail Road Our Operations Department has reviewed the preliminary underground electric layout for this project and analyzed their construction time requirements. project as outlined below: They have estimated 119 working days to complete the Trench and substructures 57 working days (includes conduit , splice boxes and equipment pads; Cable , Transformers, and Services 47 working days Overhead Removals 15 working days New Construction Time 119 working days Based on the proposed schedule, we have tentatively scheduled our crews to start construction July 21, 1980. The 24 week construction tine frame would establish December 31, 1980 as the completion date for our portion of the project. I would recommend Septezker 23, 1980, as the customer ready date. This is also the date at wkic:? time all street lights should be installed and ready to receive service. That thc date on which affected property owners must be ready to receive underground service is September 23, 1980. 2. That a certified copy of this resolution be recorded in the Coun Recorder's Office and also mailed to each affected property owner.
