SUBJECT: AMENDMENT OFTHE 1980-81 BUDGET - WATER POLLUTION STATEMENT OF THE MATTER The adopted 1980-81 Budget contains an appropriation of $230,000 for the City's share of the Encina Water Pollution Control Facility. On July 1, 1980, the Council discussed and approved an Encina Budget of $999,521. The City's share of the approved budget is estimated at $247,511. In order to meet the demands of the approved Encina budget, the Water Pollution appropriation should be raised by $17,511. EXHIBIT Resolution No. ^^authorizing transfer of funds. FISCAL IMPACT The Finance Director's Comparative Statement of Funds shows funds available of $634,292 for Sanitation expenditures (sewer collection and treatment) in 1980-81 The increased Encina expenditure will increase operating expenditures from the Sanitation Fund to $624,324 leaving a yiear-end balance of slightly less than $10,000. RECOMMENDATION Amend the 1980-81 Budget to reflect expenditures of $247,511 for Water Pollution rather than $230,000 as previously approved. Adopt Resolution No. baSf authorizing transfer of funds in amount of $17,511. Council Action: 8-5-80 Council adopted Resolution 6258. ° and approved. 11 2. That the transfer of Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Eleven Dollars ($17,511.00) from the Sanitation Fund, Account No. 12-000-0900, to the Water Pollution Professional Services Account, No. 12-117-2^50, is hereby authorized AYES: Council Members Packard, Casler, Anear and Kulchin NOES: None ABSENT: Council Member Lewis 18 " RONALD C.
