Statement of the Matter
For some time Council has been concerned about providing better service to residents of South Carlsbad.
It is suggested that a South Carlsbad Service Center be established
on a trial basis. Rental space is now available at West Bluff
Plaza on El Camino and Alga. (1000 sq. ft. at $ 1150 mo. \ )
Another space is available in the La Costa shopping center.

Department heads believe that good use can be made of the office
for existing City programs.

Fiscal Impact
The larger space would cost about $20,000 a year - $13,000 rent, $7,000 furniture and expenses.
Recommendation
If desired, Council may authorize City Manager to return with a lease
to establish South Carlsbad Service Center.
