Mgr. , e DEPARTMENT: ENG I NEkR I NG SUBJEfl': STORM DRAIN ON OCEAN STREET AND CEDAR AVENUE CONTRACT NO; 1086 Owing to the failure of an existing drainage pipe at the subject site, staff has prepared plans and specifications for the construction of a replacement drainage facility. 'The downstream portion of the proposed storm drain is to be constructed by the developer of a motel which' is currently being plan checked by the Building Department. The upstream portion and the inlets will be constructed by the City under contract. Attached is the necessary easement for the construction of the storm drain and for public access to the beach. Coastal Commission approval for the project is expected on October 17, 1389. The Planning Department has issued a negative declaration on the' Environmental Impact Assessment for this project. F I SCAL IMPACT The engineer's estimate for the City's portjon of the work is $15,000.. Funds from the Unappropriated Reserves must be appropriated. EXHIBITS 1. 2.
