SUBJECT: RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF JEFFERSON AVENUE
STATIDENT OF THE MATTER
The realignment of Jefferson Avenue by CALTRANS in 1969/70 as part of the
overpass construction, has created a triangular shaped piece of excess
right-of-way on the westerly side of the street immediately south of the
overpass, across 1-5. After the vacation, Jefferson Avenue will have a
standard 60' right-of-way, and the property line will be 10' behind the
face of curb as it now exists.
A request to vacate this excess was made by Buff & Hensman Architects and
Associates, one of the adjacent property owners. S.D.G.&E., Vista Sanita-
tion, Pacific Telephone and' Utili ties/?.hinte;lance have been notified and request reservation of easements. Poritions vacated will be granted to the
adjacent property owners, preserving all public utility easements.
FISCAL D.PACT
Approximately 6,000 square feet of land to be returned to tax rolls (approx-
imate value of land - $48,000).
Estimated advertising costs $5 - $10.
