M9r.C -- 2e C E FAR TM E R T : - Engineering e- . -u P SU3J :CT: QUITCLAIM OF PUBLIC UTILITIES EASEMENTS AT CARLSBAD PLAZA SOUTH OFFICE SITE ----, STATEMENT OF THE MATTER Hughes Investments, owner of Carlsbad Plaza South, has requested the City to quitclaim portions of the Public Utilities Easements dedicated to the City on Parcel Map 8586, Minor Subdivision No. 379.- In exchange for the quitclaiming of certain portions of these easements, Hughes Investments has offered for dedication additional lands for Public Utilities Easements. There are nosutilities located in the portions of the easements to be quitclaimed. -. ' Hughes Investments requests the City to adjust the easement in order to maximize square footage of office buildings. City UtilitifieS/Maintenance Department have reviewed and approve the quitclaiming and dedication of easements involved. -? FISCAL IMPACT Allowing adjustment of easements gives this project greater economic viability.
