Mgr. 67. v- SUBJECT: STORM DRAIN AT OCEAN STREET AND CEDAR AVENUE CONTRACT NO. 1086 STATEMENT OF THE MATTER On October 7, 1980, City Council approved plans and specifications and authorized the City Clerk to invite bids. by the City Clerk. Sealed bids were opened at 3:OO p.m. on November 5, 1980 Seven bids were received and are shown on the attached 0 d Summary. The low bid was submitted by Harry Wankett Construction, Inc. of San Marcos amount of $12,607 which is under the ehgineer's estimate of $15,000. n the F I SCAL IMPACT Funds in the amount of $15,000 are available from Account No. 01-170-3095 for the con- struction of this project. EXHIBITS 1. Bid Summary 2. Resolution No.6367 accepting bids and awarding Contract No. 1086. . RECOMMENDATION Adopt Resolution No.(&7accepting bids and awarding Contract No. 1086. Council Action: 11-18-80 Council removed the item from the agenda per staff recommendation. 12-2-80 Council adopted Resolution 6367, accepting the bids and awarding the Contract to Harry Wankett Construction, Inc. I I ! f I I i I I I i 7 I I If c 7 =% c A > 3 > Y b 3 5 P 3 c 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 11 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 6367 A RESOLUTiON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF CARLSPAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT NO. 1036 FOR CONSTRUCT!ON OF A STORM DRAIN AT OCEAN STREET AND CEDAR AVENUE WHEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad for the con- struction of a storm drain at Ocean Street and Cedar Avenue, Contract No. 1086; and WHEREAS, the low bid received for this project was submitted by Harry Wanket Construction, Inc. in the amount of $12,607; and WHEREAS funds are available for this project in Account No. 1-170-3095; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carls- bad as follows: 1. The above recitations are true and correct. 2. The bid of $12,607 for construction of a storm drain at Ocean Street ani Cedal- Avenue,' Contract No. 1086, is hereby accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a contract therefor. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held the 2nd day of Deceinber , 1980, by the follow- ing vote, to wit: AYES: Council Members Packard, Casler, Anear, Lewis and Kulchin NOES: None ABSENT: None - RONALD C.
