On October 7, 1980, City Council approved plans and specifications and autnorized the

The low bid'was submitted by Oliver Matthews Construction of San Diego in the amount Of. $22,705.50 which is under the engineer's ,estimate of $33,,000.

RESOLUTION NO. 6366
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAO,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIOS, REJECTING ONE BID, AN0 AUTHOR-
IZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT NO. 1084 FOR EXPANSION OF
THE PARK!NG LOT ON CARLSBAO BOULEVARD AT AGUA HEDIONDA
LAGOON
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad for the expan-
sion of the parking lot on Carlsbad Boulevard at Agua Hedionda Lagoon. Contrac
No. 1084; and
WHEREAS. the City Council has determined that the public interest requir
the Council to exerclse its discretion under Section 3.28.120 of the Carlsbad
Municipal Code and reject the bid submitted by Jim McNulty Contracting for
non-conformance in bid proposal; and
WHEREAS, the low bid received for.this project was submitted by Oliver
Matthews Construction in the amount of $22,705.50; and
WHEREAS funds are available for this project in Account No. 1-170-3096;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The bid of $22,705.50 for expansion of the parking lot on Carlsbad
Boulevard at Agua Hedionda Lagoon, Contract No. 1084, is hereby accepted and
the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorlzed to execute a contract therefor.
