STATEMENT OF THE MATTER \
Work under the above contract has been satisfactorily completed. The final contract
amount of $230,689.17 is under the original bid price of $242,257.60.
the final contract amount ($23,068.92) will be withheld until 35 days after the Notice
of Completion records.

Funds for this project were budgeted in the 1979-80 and 1980-81 street resurfacing
program account ($100,000 and $200,000 respectively). Residual funds left in this
account should be retained for street reconstruction of Paseo del Norte in Car Country.
