SUBJECT: EL CAMINO REAL MEDIAN
STATEMENT OF THE MATTER I
In order to complete the median at El Camino Real and Highway 78, the staff has
prepared plans with a hard-texture bomanite treatment for the City Entrance area.
The cost of this will range from $9,000 to $10,000. A previous design oni land-
scaping was negotiated with CALTRANS and will have to be renegotiated. ~
FI SCAL IMPACT
The estimated cost of textured concrete surfacing is $9,600. The m&inter
is minimally estimatedatS17Wyear. CALTRANS may participate in cost, bL

RECOMMENDATION
The Parks and Recreation Department has recommended a bomanite treatment
area. If Council concurs, direct staff to renegotiate agreement with CAL
prepare final plans and specifications for bomanite treatment.
