DEPARTMENT: City Manager Subject : ACCEPTANCE OF GIFT FROM THE WOMAN'S CLUB OF CARLSBAD Statement of the Matter The Woman's Club of Carlsbad has made a contribution of $500 toward the purchase of a training recorder and cassettes for paramedic use. The purchase of a recorder will provide an additional training tool Educational cassettes are available at no charge on a loan basis from other fire agencies. Fiscal Impact , The cost of a recorder is $1,100. At the present time there is $610 in the paramedic trust; fund. The $500 gift from the Woman's Club of Carlsbad will bring the total to $1,100.
