Subject : ACCEPTANCE OF GIFT FROM THE WOMAN'S CLUB OF CARLSBAD
Statement of the Matter
The Woman's Club of Carlsbad has made a contribution of $500 toward
the purchase of a training recorder and cassettes for paramedic
use.
The purchase of a recorder will provide an additional training tool
Educational cassettes are available at no charge on a loan basis
from other fire agencies.
Fiscal Impact ,
The cost of a recorder is $1,100. At the present time there is
$610 in the paramedic trust; fund. The $500 gift from the Woman's
Club of Carlsbad will bring the total to $1,100. No additional
supplies needed.

Recommendation
Adopt Resolution No. b )a accepting contribution toward the
purchase of recorder for paramedic use and that a letter of thanks

COUNCIL ACI'ION:
4-21-81 Council adopted Resolution No. 6502, and directed that a letter of thd be sent by the Mayor on behalf of the Council to the Woms' Club.

A RESOLUTION .OF THE'CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA ACCEPTING A GIFT OF MONEY TOWARD THE PURCHASE OF
A TRAINING RECORDER AND CASSETTE.

WHEREAS, The Wonan's Club of Carlsbad wishes to make a dl
of five hundred dollars ($500.00) toward the purchase of a tr
ing recorder and cassette for use by the Paramedics; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this gift pur
to Sections 37354-and. 37355 of the California Government Code
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of th
City of Carlsbad as follows:
. 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
' 2. That the City Council accepts the gift of money towa
the purchase of a ?raining recorder and cassette €or Pararnedi
15'use on behalf of all the citizens of the City of Carlsbad.
