SUBJECT: Radio Maintenance Contract
Statement of the Matter
The City of Carlsbad has radio equipment in the Police, Fire, Building,
Engineering, Parks and Maintenance Departments. Each department includes
the cost of radio maintenance in their operating budget. A total of
$21,380 has been allocated for radio maintenance In the preliminary
1981-82 budget. This amount includes costs for r;aintenance that is covered
by the contract and also for repairs that are ~:ot included in the mainten-
ance contract.·
tn accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal Code, Notice to
Bidders was published and Request for Bids was made. Three responses
were received, opened, witnessed and recorded on April 20, 1981 •. The
lowest responsive bid for radio maintenance for fiscal year 1981-82 was
from Quigley_Communications, Inc~; 1933 S. Hill Street; Oceanside,
California 92054, in the amount of $9,281.40.
Fiscal Impact.
The 1981-82 costs for radio maintenance has been budgeted by each department.
