STATEMENT OF THE M,TTER -
Chapter 11;08 of the Municipal Code authorizes the formation of Underground Uti1 it
Districts for the purpose of removing overhead utilities and placing them undergrc
In the past three years the City has completed underground districts on Carlsbad
Boulevard between Grand and Tamarack and on Grand, Madison, Jefferson and Harding
the Redevelopment Area.
. SDG & E has notified the City that-it has over $300,000 avai-lable for another pro:
It appears that the City should consider forming a District. In order to assist 1
Council, the City has an Advisory Committee. The makeup of that Committee is as
