1he 1980-81 City of Carlsbad Budget includes $13,000 for a turf tractor
to be ~sed .by the Parks Department in all the large City parks.
-In acc;Qrdance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal Code, Notice to
Bidders was published and Request for Bids was made. Seven ·responses were
received, opened·; wi~nessed and recorded on May 18, l981.
The lowest.responsive bid that met the specifications was from Scott Machinery
Company; 9370 Miramar Road; San Diego, California 92126, in the amount of
$10,075.30, plus tax for a total of $10,679.82.

The price of the tractor is within the budgeted amount and the operational
costs have be'en included in the maintenance.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
·OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA ACCEPTING A BID AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR
THE PURCHASE OF A 'TURF TRACTOR ..
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the bid of Scot~ Machinery Company; 9370 Miramar Road; San
7 Diego, California 92126, is hereby accepted and the City Manager is hereby
8 ·authorized to execute a contract for the purchase of a turf tractor for a
9 total price of $10,679.82.
