SUBJECT: RESCISSION OF FINAL MAP APPROVAL

CARLSBAD TRACT 80-9, UNIT 1 (THE MEADOWS)
STATEMENT OF THE MATTER
On May 5, 1981, the City Council approved the final map for Unit 1. The developer
(the Woodward Company) has decided to rephase the project and desires to start
construction at the south end of the site instead of the north end. A request to
revise the tentative map will be submitted to the City shortly.
At the request of the developer, the final map has not been sent to the County
Recorder. The developer desires that this map not record at this time so that he
may obtain release of the improvement bonds. The developer will submit this map
for final approval at a later date as one of the last phases of the project.
FISCAL IMPACT
The developer will receive a refund of bond premiums which total $15,866.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Not applicable.
RECOMMENDATION
Rescind the Council action of May 5, 1981 approving the final map.

On May 5, 1981, the City Council approved for recordation
92 single family lots which covers a portion of tentative tract
#80-9, City of Carlsbad. The Woodward Companies at this time hereby requests the City Council to recend the final map and
bonds on the previously approved subdivision to enable The Wood-
ward Companies to resubmit a new map which represents a new phase of development.
