ITEM EXPLANATION:
City Council, at their meeting of October 13, 1981, directed staff to revise
Resolution No. 6065 which sets water rates and charges to revise the standby meter
charges to $2.53 per mobile home space.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Current standby charges are $5.20 per mobile home space. The revision to $2.53 will
result in a reduction of $2.67 per month per mobile home space. This will affect
129 spaces and reduce revenues to the water fund by approximately $344 per month.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, REVISING WATER STANDBY
CHARGES FOR MOBILE HOME PARKS BY REVISING
WHEREAS, Section 14.04.030 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code empowers the
City Council, from time to time, by resolution, to modify rates, charges and
penalties respecting water service; and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that the standby meter charges for
mobile home parks served by master meters within the City water service area
should be consistent with the standby meter charges of mobile home parks
outside the City water service area; and
WHEREAS, the standby meter charge for mobile home park spaces in areas
outside the City water service area but within the City limits of Carlsbad
is two dollars and fifty three cents ($2.53) per month;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the below stated sections of
Resolution No. 6065 of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California
are modified effective with water bills of October 15, 1981, as follows:
Section 1 1 (a) line 26, add:
"Each mobile home space in a park served by master meters - $2.53"
Section II(a)(l) line 3, add:
"Except that mobile home spaces will be charged at the rate of
$2.53 per month"
