RECOMMENDED ACTION:
If the City Council desires to grant the preannexation change of
zone (ZC-242), your action is to introduce Ordinance No. 9^0 7•
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The City Council, at your meeting of November 3, 1981, directed
the City Attorney to prepare the necessary documents granting a
preannexation change of zone (ZC-242) from San Diego County E-1-
A to City of Carlsbad C-2-Q (Community Commercial) and R-D-M
(Residential Density Multiple). An ordinance granting the zone
change is attached.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 21 OF THE
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING THE ZONING
MAP TO GRANT A PREANNEXATION CHANGE OF ZONE
(ZC-242) FROM SAN DIEGO COUNTY E-1-A TO CITY OF
CARLSBAD C-2-Q (COMMUNITY COMMERCIAL) AND R-D-M
(RESIDENTIAL DENSITY MULTIPLE ZONE) TO ALLOW
SUBSEQUENT ANNEXATION AND DEVELOPMENT IN CITY
ON PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE
OF EL CAMINO REAL, NORTH OF ALGA ROAD.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California
does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is
amended by the amendment of the zoning map to grant a
preannexation change of zone (ZC-242) from San Diego County
E-1-A to City of Carlsbad C-2-Q (Community Commercial) and R-D-M
(Residential Density Multiple Zone) on property as shown on the
map marked ZC-242, Exhibit A, attached hereto and made a part
hereof.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective
thirty days after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify
to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at
least once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days after its
adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a meeting of the Carlsbad
City Council held on the 17t:h day of Novenfaer r 19_S1_'
and thereafter
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a meeting of said City Council
held on the 1st day of December , 19 81 , by the
