RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. G72,J” approving plans and specifications and authorizing the City Clerk to advertise for bids.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Plans and specifications for construction of the Carlsbad Boulevard Storm Drain have been completed.
Environmental and Coastal Commission clearances have been obtained.
The project consists of an 18-inch storm drain which will replace the
old concrete pipe which carries drainage from the east side of Carls- bad Boulevard to the west. east side of the Boulevard adjacent to the Terramar development. The project will relieve flooding on the
FISCAL IMPACT:
The engineer’s estimate for this project is $7,561 which will be financed from the remaining $59,200 fund in continuing appropriation for Walnut and Sycamore storm drain.

RESOLUTION NO. 6725
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHOR- IZING THE CITY CLERK TO INVITE BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE CARLSBAD BOULEVARD STORM DRAIN - CONTRAa NO. 1111
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has determined it is
iecessary and in the public interest to construct the Carlsbad Boulevard Storm
kain; and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the furnishing of all labor, mate-
rials, tools, equipment, transportation and other expenses necessary or inci-
€ental for said project, Contract No. 1111, have been prepared and are on
Sile in the Engineeering Department and are incorporated by reference herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
1s follows:
1, The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and
€irected to proceed to publish, in accordance with law, notice to contractors
inviting bids for the construction of the Carlsbad Boulevard Storm Drain,
:ontract No. 1111, in accordance with the plans and specifications referred to.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
:alifornia, at a regular meeting held the 17th day of Novder , 1981,
