Acknowledge receipt of the list, direct the City Clerk to publish
the list and post same in the City Clerk's Office and authorize
the City Clerk to publish a display ad to invite applications.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
In accordance with Chapter 238, Government Code, Section 54970, et
seq of the State of California, a list City Board, Commission and
Committee positions expiring in the calendar year 1982 has been
prepared. The list is attached for Council information and will be
posted in the City Clerk's Office and published in the newspaper.
Also attached is a sample format of a display ad proposed for
publication in the newspaper to invite applications for these
vacancies.

The Library Board makes recommendations
on library personnel, policy, facilities
and finances.
PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION
Vacancy: Two
Term Expires: 1986
Meets: Third Monday of each
month, 6:30 p.m.
The Commission makes recommendations to
the City Council regarding the management
and operation of comMunity recreation
programs and facilities
PERSONNEL BOARD
Vacancy: One
Term Expires: 1986
Meets: First Thursday of each
month, as required
The Personnel Board hears disputed
grievances and employee appeals, such
as diciplina.ry action or dismissal, and
makes appropriate recommendations.
PLANNING COMMISSION

nesday of each month

The Commission makes recommendations to the
City Council on general plan and zoning
issues and reviews applications for all major
industrial and residential development.
TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSION

Meets: First Monday of each
month, 3:00 p.m.
This commission studies all aspects of
traffic safety within the City and makes
recommendations to the City Council
HOUSING & REDEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Term Expires:
Meets: Fourth Monday of each
month at 7:00 p.m.

Redevelopment area; b. member of an
existing organization within the redevelop-
ment area; and c. a person with a back-
ground related to redevelopment or social
services (call for details)
The Committee advises the City Council on
development projects in the downtown
Village area and acts as a design review
ocommittee for such projects.
