Staff recommends Council adopt Resolution No. (p171.,, awarding
the bid for the turf sweeper to B. Hayman Company in the amount of $5,794.14.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The 1981-82 Budget includes $4,720 for the purchase of a turf sweeper for the Parks Department.
In accortjance with Section 3 •. 28.120 of the Municipal Code, Notice to
Bidders was published and Request for Bids was made. Three responses
were received, opened, witnessed and recorded on January 11, 1982.
The lowest responsive bidder for the turf sweeper was submitted by
B. Hayman Company, 9525 Sorensen Avenue, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90760,
in the amount of $5,469.00, plus tax, for a total of $5,794.14.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Four thousand seven hundred twenty dollars ($4,720) was allocated for
the turf sweeper in the Parks Department's Capital Outlay Account
·No. Ol-161-3900. The additional $1,077.14 needed for the :purchase
is available in the Parks Utility Account No. 01-161-221C-.
